Treasure planet

Jim stood at attention as the carriage pulled to a stop. Stepping from the box of diamonds and gold was his first true mission from the academy. She was fair, as any princess should be, no matter what planet. Her shoulders were strong, fit for carrying the weight of an entire kingdom in the place of her ill father, and still slopped with grace as she curtsied. Bowing in return Jim did his best to keep his mind on the mission instead of the knots twisting tightly in his stomach. From this moment on things were serious. No more tests, no more professors at the ready to scold him when things didn't go just so...it was all very real, the ship, the crew under his command, and the life of the young royal standing there in front of him.


*This is my shot at a contest dealing with Jim's future. It's been a while since I've tried writing anything like this for my art, but it gets the point across for now. I also was using this to try out a new art program I found out about, and so far I really like it.

Edit: Here she is for inktober 2015. I changed things up a bit trying to work her in more with the movie's style now that I have the concept art book from the movie( after months of saving)
